Why are so few women serving on
corporate boards?
In 2015, women
held only 19.9% of corporate board
seats in S&P 500 companies, while women represent close to 50% of the US
workforce . Gender diversity in the boardroom affects countless women
everywhere, in our communities as well as the workforce, not just those women who make
it to the boardroom.
The Thirty Percent Coalition
is a powerful and collaborative movement to increase the number of women in the
boardroom that needs your support now. Your support will help the
Coalition’s work to increase the number of women serving on boards today and
tomorrow.
We will keep you informed of our
progress with a newsletter highlighting initiatives regarding gender diversity in the
workplace and in the boardroom.
